Day- 01
Arrival Pakyong Airport (PYG) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus (Junction) / Siliguri and Transfer to Phuentsholling - On arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus (Junction) / Siliguri – Guest will be received by our executive who will be waiting just outside of the airport or railway station – He will assist guest to board the vehicle to proceed for Phuentsholling – Pakyong Airport (PYG) is approximately 205 kilometers and requires 06 – 07 hours drive by drive by road along NH10 and NH 17 - The drive from New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus (Junction) / Siliguri is approximately 170 kilometers i.e. nearly 04 to 04½ hour’s drive by road along NH10 and NH 17 - On arrival at Phuentsholling – Check into hotel - The border of India & Bhutan, the Indian side is known as Jaigaon and the Bhutan part is called Phuentsholling - Situated at an altitude of nearly 980 feet it is a small settlement – Night stay at Hotel at either Phuentsholling or Jaigaon
Day- 02
Permit to be obtained and Transfer to Paro - Have breakfast / Lunch and be prepared to start as soon as the permit is issued - The drive is approximately 175 kilometers and is nearly 05½ - 06 hours drive by road – Early morning breakfast – Obtain permit with assistance from our representative - Proceed for Paro - Paro is a town and seat of Paro District, in the Paro Valley of Bhutan - It is a historic town with many sacred sites and historical buildings scattered throughout the area - It is also home to Bhutan's sole international airport - This beautiful city of Bhutan is situated at an altitude of 2250 meters i.e. 7382 feet - Paro is a beautiful valley encapsulates the rich culture, scenic beauty with hundreds of myths and legends - Home to many of Bhutan’s oldest temples and monasteries and the National Museum - Places you must see when you are Drukgyel Dzong, Rinpung Dzong, Ta Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang, Kila Gompa, Druk Choeding & the famous Taktsang Monastery or Tiger's Nest - On arrival at Paro and transfer to the hotel - Evening take a stroll around town & the main street - Overnight at the hotel in Paro
Day- 03
Paro local sightseeing - Early morning breakfast – Paro is the best destination in Bhutan - Along the main street there is a complex of traditional architecture with richly decorated buildings housing small shops, institutions and restaurants – Visit is to the following places Drukgyal Dzong, View of Taktsang Monastery, Kichulanka Monastery, Ta Dzong, Paro Rinpung Dzong (Museum), Nya-Mey Zam, Dungtse Lhankhang, Druk Choeding - The main tourist attractions in Paro are Nya-mey Zam or “the bridge with no fish” - Ta Dzong, “Ta”means to see / watch and “dzong” means fortress - Dungtse Lhankhang - Drukgyel Dzong or “fortress of the victorious Drukpas” - Kyichu Lhakhang - Kila Gompa - Druk Choeding - Next Rinpung Dzong or “the fortress of the heap of jewels”- Then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong situated at commanding height, overlooking Paro valley - This Dzong is symbolic as the religious and secular centre of all affairs of the valley, Tiger Nest Monasteries [View Point]- Late afternoon back to hotel - Evening take a stroll around town & the main street - Overnight at the hotel in Paro
Day- 04
Excursion to Chele La (Pass) - Bhutan is a mountainous country linked with series of passes – Chele La pass at an elevation of 3810 meters i.e. 13000 feet, between the valley of Paro and Haa is Chele La, the highest road pass in the country - Chele La (Pass) is considered to be one of the highest motor able passes in Bhutan – It is nearly 35 kilometers and about an hour’s drive from Paro – The drive is through dense spruce and larch forests- Depending on season you will encounter various sights such as frozen river, waterfall, rhododendron forest and yaks grazing peacefully - The pass provides stunning views of the sacred mountain Jomolhari and Jichu Drake – One can have the view of Haa Valley - Made all the more mysterious and beautiful with its abundance of prayer flags - Guest can witness the cascades of wild roses; purple and yellow primulas; and swathes of deep blue iris covering the forest floor – Back to resort - Guest may spend the day by shopping or simply walking through the town or relax – Overnight stay in hotel / resort in Paro
Optional (Special Permit & Stay is required to visit Haa) - Drive on to Haa situated at an elevation of 2700 meters i.e. 8900 feet - descending all the way for another 22 kilometers nearly an hour’s drive to Haa - The Haa Dzong view from outside is stunning – One can also visit to the famous Monastery of Lhakhang Karpo (White Temple) followed by visit to Lhakhang Nagpo (Black Temple) – Three hours drive back to Paro

Excursion to Takshang Monastery - It is situated at an elevation of 3180 meters i.e. 10,430 feet - Early morning breakfast – Start early for an excursion to the spectacular Taktsang monastery or Tiger's Nest – A short drive to Satsam Chorten and from there a 02 hour horse ride or hike to the viewpoint of the monastery - The trail climbs through beautiful pine forest and an occasional grove of fluttering prayer flags – Guest can stop for rest and light refreshments at the Taktsang Jakhang (cafeteria) and then walk a short distance until Taktsang monastery is visible - This incredible monastery clings to the edge of a sheer rock cliff that plunges 900 meters into the valley below - Legend has it that Guru Padmasambhava, the tantric mystic who brought Buddhism to Bhutan, flew here in the form of Dorji Drolo, mounted on a flaming tigress in the 747 A.D – One can have lunch at the cafeteria and after lunch guest should return to hotel – Evening free to stroll around the region – Night stay at Paro
Day- 05
Transfer to Phuentsholing - Early morning breakfast – Next drive approximately 175 kilometers and is nearly 05½ – 06 hours drive by road - Drive to Phuentsholing en route visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress of the Kingdom built in 1627, which now houses the School for Buddhist studies - Thimphu / Phuentsholing road was built in 1962 by Dantak, the Indian Border road organization - The drive on this route is very pleasant with numerous scenic spots en route - Just before, arriving Phuentsholing, visit Kharbandi Goemba, the monastery built in 1967 - It houses the large and attractive statues of Sakyamuni, Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal and Guru Rinpoche - Phuentsholing (also sometimes spelled as Phuntsholing), the second largest town in Bhutan, is on the Indian border, next to the town of Jaigaon – Places of interest in Phunetsholling are Amo Chuu the Crocodile Breeding Centre, The gate at the border (called Bhutan Gate), Chukha Hydrothermal Project, Zangtho Pelri Lhakhang & Karbandi Monastery – On arrival check to hotel - Evening roam around the local market - Overnight at the hotel in Phuentsholing
Day- 06
Departure Transfer to Pakyong Airport (PYG) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus (Junction) / Siliguri - Early morning breakfast or breakfast on the route – Check out of the hotel and start from Phuentsholing or Jaigaon – Forwarding drive to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus (Junction) / Siliguri is approximately 170 kilometers and is 04 to 04½ hours drive by road – Pakyong Airport (PYG) is approximately 205 kilometers and requires 06 – 07 hours drive by drive by road via NH10 and NH 17 – The drive is through lush green vegetation, Tea Estate and through jaldapara Nartional park, Chapramari & Gorumara National park - One can stop at Coronation bridge for photography if time permits – From there Pakyong Airport diversion - One can stay in Dooars or drive directly to Airport or Railway Station - The road is scenic with Tea Estate and Forests – It is advisable to start early and not to rush - Forwarding journey
