Day – 01 – Manali to Kibber – It is approximately 180 kilometers and is nearly 09 – 10 hours drive via Leh Manali Highway & National Highway 505 – There is the only route you could from Manali to Kibber – The Route is Manali – Rohtang Pass – Chhatru – Kunzum La – Losar to Kibber – Kibber is located in the Spiti Valley – Village Kibber is a high altitude village in beautiful Spiti valley at an altitude of 4270 meters with all modern facilities and is situated 16 kilometers away from Kaza near Kee monastery – Situated at the height of 14200 feet / 4205 meters – Kibber is claimed to be the highest motorable village in the world – It is a small village with about 100 houses and all painted in white with red rooftops – Places of interest are Kibber Village Ki Monastery, Hikkim, Gue Mummy at Gue Village, Komic Monastery, Sakya Tangyud Monastery, Langza Village – 02 kilometers further is Chichum village to see the worlds highest bridge – Overnight at Kibber

Day – 02 – Kibber to Kaza – It is 19 kilometers – Stay is due to attractions like Key monastery, trek routes and small villages of Kibber, Kaumik, Langza, Tashigang etc – The route is Kye Monastery – Komik – Hikkim – Langza – Kaza – The town of Kaza or Kaze is the subdivisional headquarters of the remote Spiti Valley in the western Himalayas in the Lahaul and Spiti district of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh – Spiti is a high altitude or cold desert having close similarities to the neighbouring Tibet and Ladakh regions in terms of terrain, climate and the Buddhist culture – Kaza, situated along the Spiti River at an elevation of 3650 metres / 11980 feet is the largest township and commercial center of the Spiti valley – Overnight at Kaza

Day – 03 – Kaza to Tabo – It is approximately 48 kilometers ans is 05 hours – Explore Kaza and drive to Tabo after lunch – Tabo is a small town in the Lahaul on the banks of the Spiti River in Himachal Pradesh, India – The town lies on the road between Rekong Peo and Kaza (alternative spelling: Kaja), the sub-divisional headquarters of Spiti – The town surrounds a Buddhist monastery which, according to legend, is said to be over a thousand years old – The Dalai Lama retire in Tabo as he believes that the Tabo Monastery is one of the holiest – Places of interest are Chogskhor Monastery, The Golden Temple, Bodhisattva Maitreya Temple, The Chamber of Picture, Mahakala Vajra Bhairava Temple, Temple of Dromton, Temple Of The Enlightened Gods – Overnight at Tabo

Day – 04 – Explore around Tabo – Tabo Monastery – Dhankar Monastery – Gue / Gyu Village – Lhalung – Lhalung is situated at an altitude of 3658 meters about 28 kilometers from Kaza having about 45-50 homes and many of them offer home stays in them – One has to travel to Lingti village first from Kaza, about 18 kilometres away, which has the power project plant on Kaza – Tabo road – Lhalung or Lhalun is called the “land of the gods” where lha means deities, devtas; lung means land, area – It is said that Lhalung devta is the head of all the gods/devtas of the valley and resides / comes from Tangmar Mountain which is located just beyond the village – Locals say that this mountain changes its colour based upon the mood of their deity where red means anger; yellow means happiness, etc – Freezing Lhalung Village – Overnight in a Lhalung Homestay

Day – 05 – Lhalung To Chandratal – Drive isapproximately 102 kilometers and is 07 hours – Lhalung – Losar – Kunzum Pass – Chandratal Lake – Chandra Taal (Literally means the Lake of the Moon), or Chandra Tal is a lake in the Spiti part of the Lahul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh in India – Chandra Taal lake is on the Samudra Tapu plateau, which overlooks the Chandra River – The name of the lake originates from its crescent shape – It is at an altitude of about 4300 metres / 14,100 feet in the Himalayas – Mountains of scree overlook the lake on one side, and a cirque encloses it on the other – The lake is accessible on foot from Batal as well as from Kunzum Pass from late May to early October – There is also a motor road accessible as far as a parking lot 02 kilometres from the lake – Overnight in camps near Chandratal Lake

Day – 06 – Chandratal Lake to Manali Pass – The Route is – Chandratal ake – Batal – Rohtang Pass – Manali – Chandratal and Manali is a total of 133 kilometers approximately and is nearly 07 hours – Two major things that will cause delay are the bad condition of the roads which will severely limit your speed; and the huge tourist rush and resulting traffic jam at Rohtang Pass – Chandratal and Manali by a Car then make sure that an SUV with good ground clearancen – Manali has a reputation as a backpacking center and honeymoon destination. Set on the Beas River, it’s a gateway for skiing in the Solang Valley and trekking in Parvati Valley – It’s also a jumping-off point for paragliding, rafting and mountaineering in the Pir Panjal mountains, home to 4,000 meters high Rohtang Pass – Take overnight bus to Delhi or stay at Manali
